Personal identification information
We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. This data can be asked upon and we can and will only collect this kind of information if Users voluntarily submit information to us, like e-mail, name and birthday for example. It’s always possible to refuse giving such information to us. It may limit your experience though.
Non-personal identification information
Non-personal identification information? Yep. Information like browser name, the type of computer, operating system and other similar information. We also collect this when Users interact with our Site / services. It gives us a broader idea of what’s going on on our website. Like the percentage of mobile users versus dekstop users. We use this information to improve user experience on our Site.
The information gathered by the cookies will be stored on our server or the server of a third party. We use the information collected by the cookies to monitor website activity and hopefully learn how to improve your experience on our domain. We may also use it to create retargeting list. This means using the fact that you visit our website to reach out to you again or, in other words, retarget you again somewhere else on the web using (display) networks such as, but not limited to, Facebook or the Google Display Network.
How we use the collected data
We will use to collected personal info for:
- Running promotions / contest / survey / and other Site features
- Send Users information they agreed on receiving. Like a newsletter or a pre-saved track within Spotify.
- As mentioned above underneath “cookies”, to create retargeting lists.
- Monitoring and analyzing. For example seeing from which country most of our webshop users come from.
We do NOT sell, trade or rent User data to others.
All information on our Site will be handled and protected under safe SSL encryption (Site url’s are starting with “https://”). When storing data, our Site (server) is located within the European Union and compliant to the current General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) law.
Adjustments and termination/removal
At all our mailings you will find a possibility to adjust your personal data or to terminate the newsletter. If you can’t find it, or it doesn’t work, please contact us using the e-mail address provided on top of this Policy. This is also applicable if you would like to alter your personal data or to remove these from our files.
Additional regarding the “10 Years Of Protocol contest”
The only way to participate in the contest is to make a connecting via our application using the Spotify API as can be seen and done on the campaign page. By doing so we retrieve the email address that is know by Spotify for using your Spotify account. This will also be the email addresses we will contact you on if you would be selected as winner. It is within our right to choose a new winner if there is no reaction on our mail correspondence. We as Protocol are not responsible for your travel arrangement to and from: Amsterdam, Amsterdam Dance Event, hotel or back home. The prize only consists of a hotel stay, tickets to the show and cool extra’s. You can’t hold us accountable for anything, we keep the rights to change the terms and conditions at any moment and your prize isn’t exchangeable for money or any other form. Last but not least, we just hope you will enjoy the prize and celebrate with us the fact that Protocol turned 10 this year! Lets make it a special ADE with beautiful memories.
Even if you are not coming to ADE and therefore aren’t able to use your prize, you can still join. We have a runner-up prize, which we can’t share yet, but it’s definitely something you want (#collectors item)
